Design leader · Tech founder · Minister · Speaker
I'm Hunter Guy. For a decade, organizations have brought me in to design products — and gotten a leader who finds the opportunity nobody scoped, aligns executives around it, and ships the work that changes the numbers.

How I operate
Before pixels, I ask what success looks like and which metric matters. The $1M initiative at Christianbook began as an opportunity I identified in my first 90 days.
I've recruited, mentored, and set standards across three business units at ODP — and led designers, engineers, and operations across continents at Study Aloud, meeting at 7am to make time zones work.
Historic NPS. Award-winning platforms. Revenue that shifts acquisition conversations. Design earns its seat at the table by moving the business — and I hold my work to that bar.
Speaking & advisory
Beyond shipping, I advise and educate on how technology should serve people — especially in the age of AI.

I speak to universities, leaders, and organizations on the real-world impacts of integrating AI — and lead cohorts of tech founders and professionals in making ethical technology decisions.
I advise organizations on people and systems implementation — how strategy, structure, and culture have to move together for technology to land.
I represent and advise organizations as a subject-matter expert across media and academic spaces, translating complex technology questions for the people who have to answer them.
The work
A decade of shipping across ecommerce, fintech, enterprise platforms, and mission-driven products — every engagement laddering up to a larger strategic decision.
Identified and drove the revenue opportunity nobody had scoped — while leading third-party platform integration strategy that positions the organization for scale.
Led UX across three business units through a division split: 2,000 new B2B accounts in month one, a 40% lift in satisfaction, and a design culture that outlasted me.
Owned discovery through delivery for a complex personalization platform — coordinating engineering, product, design systems, and third-party API partners to launch.
Founder proof
I founded Study Aloud in 2018 — a Bible learning app using adaptive learning to improve biblical literacy — and incorporated it in 2021. As CEO, I spearhead the vision and charge it forward — fostering teams for growth and execution.
That means managing operations, a designer in Nigeria, and a five-person engineering team in Ukraine — meeting regularly across five time zones to keep the work moving. It means architecting the CMS that supports global theology partnerships, leading our infrastructure migration from Google Firebase to AWS in three months, cultivating investor relationships, and allocating the capital we raise.
Every corporate organization I serve gets the benefit of that founder's lens: I see the whole system — product, people, partnerships, and P&L — not just the interface.
Let's talk
I'm exploring design leadership roles where design shapes the roadmap, not just the interface. I also partner with organizations as a fractional leader and strategic advisor — and speak to rooms making hard technology decisions. Either way, it starts here.
